It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Russ’s passing on January 3rd, 2020. He was at home and surrounded by all his loved ones when he went. His general level of health and post-surgical complications took him sooner than any of us could have expected.

The Next Grand Minimum 
I, for one, am quite saddened to hear this. Russell will be sorely missed. Russell provided the world with a wealth of information on how climate really works (and how it doesn’t work). I read every notification he sent out about solar activity and found the articles to which his links were directed were very educational and interesting.

I guess all his followers from this blog are really saddened to hear the news. We’ll miss his posts and all the valuable information he shared with us in a so dedicated manner for such a long time. Sorry we never had the opportunity to meet but so it is the virtual world of the modern times…
