100 Year Snow Records broken across the South Eastern US on October 31st and November 01st

Are we on the cusp of the next Grand Minimum?

Watts Up With That?

It was the earliest and heaviest snow in several places since records have been kept dating as far back as 1880.

Reduced sunspot count shows Solar hibernation is occurring along with the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) showing a cooling Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Multi-Decadal Oscillation (AMO) Atlantic Ocean temperature is predicted to fall by 2020, which screams of cooling events to take place globally.

All those people should turn off their heat to see what is like to live with 0 carbon emissions. It is the year 2100 already. Where does the IPCC think we are going to get the energy we need to keep warm? Magic? I’d like to see a solution first before the cuts.

You’re preaching to the choir here. It’s the people in the media that needs convincing. I was watching CBS with Charlie Rose and a professor from NYC College. Rising sea levels, melting ice caps, a week longer of summer, higher food prices were all symptoms of a warmer world. Millimeter increases in sea levels as opposed to meters that were predicted and within margins of error (who knows) , higher food prices are the result of colder weather (some vegetables won’t set fruit unless the temp is above 60 F at night) , who in their right mind is going to complain about a week longer of summer (if that’s true) . Ice caps melting? Really? In an age where information is immediate, and for those people in the media, why don’t they know that Antarctic is at record levels and the Arctic is recovering? Why weren’t they asking these questions. I’m not a flat earthier who is totally stupid. A relevant question should be answered instead of replies like, well you aren’t a ‘ climate ‘ scientist are you, or on the payroll of big oil etc… Does it matter who asks the questions? If a climate scientist is lying, fixing data, or adjusting temps, does that make it right? They somehow just know? That isn’t science. Abnormal weather/climate didn’t start with the Industrial Revolution

Such snow records are a 3-sigma event. That itself should give pause to anyone with science training to take another look at the data record, the GCM model(s), and the obviously wrong predictions they have generated. But then again, what does science have to do with any of this?

Russ, great post!! However, this is very close to what happened with the weather back in October of 1840 on the east coast. We had a little bit of summer and then at the end of that month a little bit of winter in the same month according to A meteorological account of the weather in Philadelphia, from January 1, 1790, to January 1, 1847 the link is here http://www.archive.org/stream/meteorologicalac00peirrich/meteorologicalac00peirrich_djvu.txt Remember that year 1840, was already after the Dalton Minimum. Look’s like we are slowly slipping back in to that period in time with the weather, if history does repeat it self in weather terms, or cycle terms.

Historical data show we are due for a grand minimum. Pre-historical data show we are getting close to the next ice age, but it takes a thousand years to really get into it. Anyway, there is NOTHING that indicates more warming. But the Gorean propaganda goes on ad infinitum. The climatologists have been caught in a scam and now they are yelling louder than ever that we will burn up (but they reduced degrees to tenths of degrees and inches to millimeters so as to not be such obvious fools. We will see them shout LOUDER and LOUDER as the data show more cooling. They will claim GLOBAL WARMING is causing COOLING, etc.
