Cold Weather Across Europe, Asia Kills Hundreds

Cold weather in the past few days has sadly gone from severe to deadly. While unusually high snowfall has disrupted the travel plans of millions of Americans, freezing temperatures have taken the lives of hundreds of people from Central Europe to South Asia. The BBC reports that in Poland, 49 people have died; in Ukraine, 83; in Russia, 88; and in India, at least 93. The majority of those dead are the elderly and the homeless.Besides being an obvious tragedy for many across the world, this is a reminder that “weather” is not “climate,” unless it suits the needs of environmental hotheads to claim that it is. When there’s a hot spell or a dry spell or a wet spell that can somehow be connected with the climate change narrative, the media resounds with panicky warnings. But when people die of frostbite in Punjab and temperatures hit -58F in Russia, the silence of the alarmists is deafening.

Can the True Believers send the freezing people some consolation cards or something? You know, something that says, ‘Trust me, global warming is coming soon. Hang in there..’. That should make them all feel better.

The amazing thing is that the news in Germany for example doesn’t mention it a lot.
The TV news talked about “record” warm temperature in Germany and only cold weather in East Europe and Russia. A print version of this picture http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/germany-experiences-record-warm-temperatures-over-holidays-a-874797.html

It took over a week that the media reported the cold weather in Russia, but when the US got the cold weather and snow it was straight away in the news.
One would think that Russia is not important. No! When Russia had a heatwave in 2010 it was big news constantly presented One can easily see what the media does.

Russ, I came across this artical. I would like to share with you and your viewers, from the Alaska Dispach titled; Forget global warming, Alaska is headed for an ICE AGE. Dated on 12/23/2012. Report’s show a 2.4 degree fahrenheit drop in temperature’s since the year 2000. Here’s the link, http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/forget-global-warming-alaska-headed-ice-age I think the cooling is going to be even worse than David Archibald has forcasted. Because part of that cooling period was during solar cycle 23. One more note, Weather Underground reported a -78 degree fahrenheit for Greenland Summit on 12/28/2012 today at 2:05pm est. time. The link for greenland’s temp’s are here http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/04416.html I think rapid cooling has begun. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!!!! Anthony
