Tambora Alert: Threat of eruption raised

Yesterday, 9 September, Indonesia’s Tambora volcano was raised to level 3 alert – the 3rd step on the emergency alert level that counts only four levels – after two days of continuous tremors.

  1. A period of strong volcanic activity would let every consensus climate scientist off the hook. It would also be devastating for food production, particularly in the cooler latitudes. So if something is going to happen with Katla, Tambora or any other volcano, let’s hope its nothing like the things that happened at the turn of the 19th century.
